About Fletcher Creek Flower Farm

Fletcher Creek Flower Farm grows on land that has been in my mother’s family for more than a century.  Nearly 200 acres of fields, woods, two old farmhouses, and a winding creek that has shaped generations of our family’s life. For more than twenty years, my dad has split his time between Florida and Michigan, restoring the property season by season with patience, sweat, and a quiet kind of devotion.

Each time I return in the spring and watch the sun rise over the fields, I feel the same pull: this land matters. Walking down to the creek each morning reminds me why I’m building a life here — to restore this place, to work with my hands, and to grow something that brings real joy to the community around us.

The idea for the farm started years ago with a spur-of-the-moment purchase: a small bag of wildflower seeds. Not knowing where to plant, my dad suggested scattering them along the quiet road leading to the farmhouse. When they bloomed, they spilled color along the gravel drive. I loved seeing them every time I drove by, but I assumed it was just me. Then one day, a neighbor stopped to thank us, truly thank us, for planting something that made their day lighter.

That moment changed everything. It showed me what flowers can do. They’re small, but they shift the feeling of a place. They make people pause. They make people breathe. And from that day on, I knew I wanted to grow flowers with intention and purpose.

Fletcher Creek Flower Farm is my way of carrying that feeling forward — with care, professionalism, and respect for the land that raised us.

What We Grow For

As we prepare our fields with cover crops and rebuild the soil, our focus is clear:

  • Reliably fresh, just-cut stems harvested with care

  • Specialty and uncommon varieties grown for florists who want something truly local

  • Transparent, consistent communication so you always know what’s available

I’ll be living on the farm from April through October each year to give every harvest, delivery, and growing decision my full attention.

Where We’re Heading

We’re beginning with a quarter acre of cut flowers and will expand to two acres as the soil strengthens. Our long-term vision includes:

  • Weekly florist supply

  • Seasonal agritourism

  • Regenerative practices across the property

  • Seasonal jobs for people who want meaningful work

  • A landscape that offers as much beauty to the community as it gives to us

This farm is more than a business. It’s a continuation of our family story, a restoration of land that deserves care, and a commitment to grow flowers that bring genuine joy.
